Care Instructions
Care Instructions
- Designs are printed on white fabric, so take care when using your tail on textured surfaces to prevent damage.
- Avoid kneeling in the pool or standing up while wearing your tail.
- Be cautious around rough surfaces, as they can cause scuff marks and pilling.
- Consider investing in a soft, non-slip yoga mat or a large towel to sit on when you’re out of the water with your tail—we offer both of these protective accessories.
Important Safety Note: - Do not jump around while wearing your tail! This can be unsafe and may also cause damage.
- After each use, rinse your tail thoroughly, regardless of the type of water you swim in.
- Use cool or warm water (never hotter than 30°C/86°F) with a mild detergent or swimsuit cleaner.
- Always ensure your tail is fully dried before storing it.
- Be mindful to avoid pulling, tugging, or tearing the fabric—this includes when handling the tail yourself or letting others do so.
- Avoid leaving your tail in direct sunlight for extended periods when not in use, as it may fade over time, just like any other fabric.
Normal Wear and Tear: - Gradual fading, scuffing, and stretching are expected with regular use. Some areas of your tail, especially those in contact with slightly rough surfaces (like pool flooring), may pill or develop fuzz.
- You may also encounter loose threads that are simple to trim or fix.
- If seams pop—whether by accident or due to handling your tail roughly—it’s still considered part of normal wear and tear, especially if care isn’t taken when inserting the monofin slowly and gently.
Remember, your mermaid tail is a delicate piece of art. Treat it with care and patience to enjoy as much mermaid magic as possible!
